Black Hills Day 3

The weather was pretty icky on Friday (which we knew was in the forecast), but we didn't let that stop us from having fun!

We packed up and left Hart Ranch on Friday morning to head to the next campground. It was super rainy and cold (like 50 degrees) when we left - and about the same when we arrived at Palmer Gulch.

This was our first time staying at Palmer Gulch (Justin had been there several times). Our cabin was similar to the one at Hart Ranch, but this one was definitely bigger.

After we unloaded the car, we just hung out for a bit. Jax drew the campground on his ipad. :)

The rain started to let up and we headed out on a car ride. It really is beautiful to ride through the hills!

We found a stopping place to take some pictures ...

We found Washington's head when we stopped. :)

We didn't actually stop at Mt. Rushmore this year - the kids have been there several times, so we just drove by it several times and the kids waved.

We made a quick stop at the Presidential Wax Museum ...

We also played some more mini golf. We were cold, but the rain had stopped!

We hung out in Keystone for a bit ... there was an Old West show going on, and they were shooting fake guns in the streets ... thank goodness they warned us every time they were going to shoot!

We stopped at our favorite taffy store!

Then we headed back to the campground to jumping pillow! We all had fun on it - it was more work than I thought it would be!

We had some supper and walked through the store. Jax wanted to buy this attire. :) Such a cutie!

We had a campfire at our cabin ...

We were cold though and only stayed outside about an hour. We were all tired though, so we were okay with heading inside!
