Next month when I write this post, it will be to wish Jaxon a Happy 3rd Birthday! I love watching this kid grow, but I am sad that he will be two years old for only one more month.
I sure love this smile!!
... weighs about 42 pounds.
... wears mostly 3t - 4t clothes and size 10/11 shoe.
... is finally back in the swing of being at preschool/daycare full time. It took a number of screaming mornings at drop off, but now we are heading in the right direction. :) He would always stop crying within minutes of me walking out the door, but it was the initial drop off that was hard.
... is sleeping so much better at night (most nights) but still struggles to go to bed easily. He just has a hard time calming down each night, and it doesn't matter what time we put him to bed (usually 8:00) ... it will always take him an hour to calm down! He's constantly rolling around in his bed.
... loves to play with his friends at school. I love when he is so excited to talk about them and what they play each day. He invites all of them to our house, everyday. I guess we might have to eventually start inviting them for real. :)
... doesn't usually sit still long enough to watch TV, but he is totally loving Yo Gabba Gabba right now. He will sit still and watch an entire episode. I don't love kids watching TV all the time, but it is helpful if I need to make dinner or just need a break to sit down. :)
... still wants to be outside as much as possible ... swimming, jumping on the trampoline, playing in the bounce house, riding bikes and his scooter, drawing with sidewalk chalk, and running. His newest thing is going on a run with Daddy.
... loves milk, Lucky Charms, mac and cheese, and lemon pudding!
... sings often, and we love hearing his sweet voice.
... thinks he's funny when he says "come-again-a-what-a" ... and we usually just laugh at him. He has made up a song that uses just that phrase. He often sings it at bedtime.
... makes me smile just thinking of him. :) My baby is growing too fast!!
One last thing ... his prayer tonight was: "Help me to be nice. Thank you for snacks, my house, our hose and the firemen." I might have laughed a little, but then I said a quick prayer ... hmm ... thankful for a hose and firemen? Does he know something I don't?!?! I'm hoping they don't make an appearance here!
