Celebrating Easter (Sunday)

Now that April is coming to a close, I figured I better finish up the Easter pictures/posts!

Our kids were excited to find that the Easter bunny had brought them Easter baskets. :)

(Ignore that Jax has a tshirt and diaper on.)

Jayla got this game for her Birthday -- the kids love it -- so they played for a little while before we left to celebrate Easter with Justin's family.

It was gorgeous outside, so we went for a little walk before the hour car ride. :)

Coloring after brunch ...

Then we went to Justin's aunt and uncle's house. The kids loved looking at the lake ...

They had fun playing!

We played outside once we got home. Jayla loves her new bike that she got for her Birthday!

Aunt Tracy :)

Today we are thinking of Justin's sweet Aunt Tracy. She was diagnosed with breast cancer on March 6th, had surgery on March 18th and starts chemo today.

Here's a group of us before her surgery in March ...

Jordyn and Tracy at Easter ...

We love you, Tracy!

Celebrating Easter! (Saturday)

The Saturday before Easter was a busy day for us. We crammed about as much as we possibly could into one day.

We first stopped at Justin's parents for a few hours. The weather was great, so we played outside a lot!

Ready to open Easter gifts from Grandpa and Grandma!!

After naps, we headed to my parent's house - which included a kid Easter egg hunt, an adult Easter egg scavenger hunt, supper, celebrating 4 April birthdays, dying Easter eggs and cake/ice cream for dessert! Some pictures from our day ...

The kids were "super heroes" during their egg hunt. :)

I have to laugh at this picture -- because if you knew what it took to get a 5 year old, 4 year old, 2 year old and three 1 year olds to sit like this, you would have been laughing too. I mean ... just look at my son holding a broom ... enough said. :)

The kids all got new pj's - and my girls love their princess ones that they got for Christmas from Grandpa and Grandma - I was super excited to hear they were getting another one (less laundry to keep up on- ha!).

In Jordyn's words ... "It's so beautiful, I just can't stop looking at it!"

Picture dying Easter eggs (near bedtime) with the 6 kids ... it involved three children tasting the dye (yes, Jax was one of them), very stressed out parents, a few spills, lots of smiles from my girls ... and Grandpa and Grandma laughing about all of it. (While the rest of us were freaking out over kids drinking the dye, dropping eggs, spilling the dye ... what a memory!) But - to say that we tried dying eggs with that many little kids is an accomplishment!

Notice the finger in his mouth ... ugh! (He also licked some off the spoon too.)

Let's just say - we were all exhausted after that day! But it was lots of fun! :)
