Soccer!

The girls started soccer on Friday! We had taken a break from soccer, but decided we wanted to the girls going again. Jordyn did it when she was 3 - Jayla had never played before. Since they couldn't be in the same programs, we were fortunate that we could get their times back to back. For now, they will be in the field house. If it warms up this Spring, we'll be outside. The field house is super nice (it's new), and I would be fine with all of their practices being indoors!

There's so much extra space, so Jaxon was able to run all over the place. It was great for him to burn some energy!!

All ready to play...

Talking to Coach Leo before we started ...

We got there early, so the kids had some time to play before practice ...

I know this is fuzzy, but I love how Jax and Jordyn were playing together ...

There was baseball practice going on too ... Jax loved watching it ...

Justin and Jayla practicing ...

This is the first time that Jordyn will not have a parent helping her during practice. It was so funny. True to her character ... she would stop and wave to us or play with her hair and someone would steal the ball from her. We laughed, and then talked with her about focusing on the game. Ha! :) Love that the girls have such different personalities!

This picture makes me laugh ... I happened to take it just as the coach was ready to take off running ...

Jax loved being at soccer with the girls!

We are looking forward to night #2 this week! :)

Jaxon ~ 2 Years 6 Months

Jax is two and a half!!

He loves to show off his muscles! (and we told him that his UA shirts were muscle shirts)

Love that smile!!

Jaxon ...

... wears 3T and 4T clothes, size 5 diapers and size 9 shoes.

... weighs about 39 pounds and is 39 inches tall.

... is getting closer to being potty trained. We have a little ways to go yet, but he's doing well!

... is still in a rough sleeping routine. Going to bed is getting better, but many nights are still tough. A couple nights out of the week are usually pretty good.

... continues to grow, grow, grow! He has gotten so tall, and is only about 4 inches shorter than the girls!

... loves to play outside, but unfortunately, the weather has hardly cooperated for that to happen! We need Spring and Summer weather!

... thinks saying "poopy bopper" is really funny ... Mommy and Daddy don't think so though.

... makes a name for himself everyday based on what he is wearing ... basketball shirt = basketball boy, football shirt = football boy, Nike shirt = Nike boy, UA shirt = muscle boy ... you get the idea. :)

... started calling me Bunny Foo Foo, which is actually really funny because my dad has called me Bunny since I was very young. Jaxon knows that now, but he didn't know that at the time when started calling me that.

... loves to exercise and do Burpees ... they are so funny! He also likes to do curls with his 2 pound hand weights.

... loves basketball, football, soccer, baseball, golf, trucks, trains, coloring, baking food in the play kitchen, Lego's, puzzles, and reading books.

... loves to sing ... his ABC's, Jesus Loves Me, Old Mac Donald, Miss Lucy, and "the whale song" (Who Did Swallow Jonah?). We love his singing voice!

... never runs out of energy! :)

I still can't believe he's two and a half. Time is not slowing down!

Charlie Brown & Danny the Dinosaur

The girls each have a "class pet" in their preschool classes that they get to take home. Jayla's class has Charlie Brown and Jordyn's class has Danny the Dinosaur.

The girls were both so excited to have these "pets' join our family!

Jayla and Charlie Brown had fun building lego towers!

Danny the Dinosaur ate some breakfast ...

Went to a Birthday party with Jordyn ...

And met all of Jordyn's "friends" ...

We enjoyed having the "class pets" at our house!

The boys!

This kiddo makes me laugh so hard everyday! A few mornings ago, he dressed himself and came down the steps wearing sunglasses because the lights in the kitchen were too bright for him. :)

How sweet are my boys in this picture?! :)

Class of 2027

How strange does "Class of 2027" sound?!

Jordyn had Kindergarten Round Up last week! Jordyn is actually registered in two different school districts right now. I know that sounds strange ... but even though our house is in SF, we live in a different school district and we have an elementary school a block from our house, so she is registered there. I believe that that district is a great one, and I'm sure the school is wonderful, but due to scheduling, it would be more ideal for her to be in the district and school and that I teach in. So, we have open-enrolled her. Unfortunately, it could be several weeks yet before we have that answer. (Keep in mind, Justin stood in line at 5:30 AM on December 2nd to get her open enrolled ... and he was like number 25 in line!)

Even though we don't have an answer yet, we were able to bring her to Kindergarten Round Up last week! She had so much fun! Our Kindergarten teachers do such an amazing job of welcoming these kids into the school!

I think I'm still in shock over the thought that my oldest baby is starting Kindergarten in August. Last night I was organizing pictures for her preschool teacher to use at preschool graduation! Time goes way too fast!
