Jaxon's monthly post is really late this month! We had two really busy weeks with birthdays, two birthday parties, Halloween, three nights of conferences, a night out with some friends to celebrate Justin's birthdays and several other things ... I didn't have time to blog. Now with the holidays sneaking up on us, I feel like I might not get caught up!
Jaxon is now 2 years and 1 month! He's a handful, but makes us laugh so hard each day!
Don't let him fool you ... he's pretending! :)
... weighs about 35 pounds.
... wears 2T to 4T clothes, size 8 shoes and size 5 diapers.
... loves to sing Jingle Bells! It's so fun to hear him sing!
... is a terrible sleeper right now. After the initial three hours of sleep each night, he is up about every hour after that. Add in Jayla not sleeping, and you get two very tired parents who either end up sleeping on the floor in one of their bedrooms or end up with kids in their bed at night, only because they want to get some sleep too.
... thinks that doing "art" is fun. We try to do different painting or art projects with the kids, and he gets so excited!
... still loves milk. He throws a fit most evenings when we tell him he can't have anymore.
... loved the snow that fell last week! Jayla showed him that if he opened the patio door he could take a handful and eat it. (and he loved it) Great ... thanks Jayla! A few minutes later I heard Jordyn giving him a lesson yellow snow. :)
... could really use some warm weather again to burn off some of the energy he has! He needs some time run outside!!
... still loves all kinds of sports balls, puzzles, books, tractors, cars, and his train table! He still asks to play with his "choo choo" most mornings before school ... which often results in a meltdown, because there usually isn't enough time in the morning.
... has found a new way to stall at bedtime! He thinks he has to give everyone hugs and kisses at least 10 times per person. He'll be all snuggled in his bed and yell "kiss" or "hug" and then he will run out of his room to give hugs and kisses. It's too cute to get upset about! I'll take every hug and kiss he wants to give me. :)
... loves his sisters!! He also loves to bug them. Jax and Jayla can fight so baldy -- but they can laugh so hard and have so much fun together too! Jordyn is more motherly to him and he responds very well to her!
... has been healthy! (I'm sure I just jinxed that!) We thought he had pink eye last week so we kept him home from daycare and started the drops in his eyes. By the afternoon his eyes were fine except one little area in the corner. I had the doctor look at him the next day (we were there for Jordyn's wellness check) and he thought maybe it wasn't pink eye, possibly just a scratch. Guess we didn't need to keep him home ... but he got some time with Daddy and also with Grandma Shelli. We are just so thankful though that his body temperature continues to be normal and after his hospital stay in August, he hasn't had any other complications! Looking back on the last year, we have a lot to be thankful for with Jaxon's health. He has sure given us some scares!
I still can't believe that our baby turned 2 over a month ago!
