This post has a lot of pictures ... 46 of them, in fact. We have not had ideal lake weather so far this summer. It is the middle of June and as of June 21st, our kids had not even stepped foot on the boat. We went to the lake again on Saturday, but just for the day. The weather was pretty good for the most part ... a bit overcast and a few sprinkles off and on, but we were able to do so much in one day. We probably normally wouldn't cram this much into one day, but since it's the middle of June and the kids hadn't been on the boat or swam at the condo, we did it all!
All ready to go for a picnic lunch on the boat ...
Love these sweeties!!
Ready to go!
It took all of 5 minutes for this to happen ...
(Jax has never gone on the boat without taking a nap during the ride.)
Justin's parents got a new jet ski this year. We talked the girls into going for a ride! Jordyn LOVED it and wanted to go fast!
Jayla was carefully watching Jordyn ... she did not want to go!
She cried through most of it, but by the end was doing okay. (Justin went very slow and stayed near the dock.)
Justin and I were able to take the jet ski out too. I hadn't been on one since they owned one when we were in high school!
After the jet ski, the sun was out and we headed to the pool! (The sun left about 5 minutes into swimming, but it was still warm so we swam for over an hour.)
Jayla didn't really want to get in the pool this time ... so she just played along the side. :)
Jax had no fear and jumped in a ton of times! We kind of wished he had a little more fear of the water than he does. He can sure scare us - he will just walk right off the edge!
Silly Grandpa Marlin joined us after a little while ...
Jordyn was so excited to see if she could touch! Toward the end of last summer she could touch if she was on her tippy-toes. This year she can touch in about half of the pool. She was pretty proud of herself!
The kids all took a nap after swimming. Then we headed to Barefoot Bar to get some supper. Our good friends, Jade and Megan, and their boys were there, so we sat by them and had supper. After Barefoot, we headed to Arnold's Park. The kids had been there once this summer. The girls were excited to go again!
Whew! What a busy day! The kids all fell asleep on the way home. We didn't get home until about 11:15. We were wiped, but we were so thankful for decent weather to keep the kids active!!
Thanks to Justin's parents for spending the day with us! :)
