Jaxon is another month older! With each new month, I think that he will start to slow down, not be so daring, and let us relax for more than 3 seconds at a time ... but that hasn't happened yet! :)
Ha! He loves to do what his sisters do! Gotta love the pink vest that he put on!
He's pretty talented ...
... weighs about 31 pounds.
... wears size 5 diapers, mostly 2T/3T clothes, and size 6 shoes.
... knows a lot of words, but only talks when he wants to. He would rather just yell/scream when he wants something. :) Some of the words he knows are: Mama, Dada, puppy, ball, football, apple, more, please, thank you, hi, bye-bye, Jayla (haven't heard him say Jordyn yet), Gigi (Gizmo), uh-oh (his favorite word), owie, book, bubble, balloon, milk, Elmo, cow, moo ... those are the words we hear the most often from him.
... loves to eat fruit snacks, bananas, yogurt, chicken nuggets and anything that his sisters are eating. He also loves milk!
... cannot get enough of outside time! We finally had nice weather for a few days (with 4 to 6 inches of snow predicted again tomorrow - ugh!). Jaxon played outside for hours at a time - and threw the biggest fits when he would have to go inside. Two straight hours of playing in the sun and he still wanted to play some more. We spent most of our weekend playing outside!
... likes reading books, doing puzzles, and playing basketball.
... still has no sense of fear of him. This child is something else ... standing on the kitchen island, opening and crawling into the dishwasher, opening the oven (I HATE that he figured that out. One of us stands guard to the oven when it is being used), flips off of the indoor jungle gym at daycare (and has taught the other kids to do it too - except they are all getting hurt doing it - he's a pro at it), jumps off the couch and usually has a nice landing on two feet, lays on the window sill by Jordyn's bed (almost like a cat would) ... this list could go on and on and on. It takes both Justin and myself to follow him around constantly.
... loves daycare but has had some rough days. He has been biting lately. Ugh. Unfortunately, he learned to bite there ... he had been bit a number of times, and now that is what he does. I asked that they start to transition him to the next room. Because he was so mobile at 5 months old, he was moved to this room super early. Most kids don't move until closer to 12 months. Well ... that means he's been in this room for a year already. He loves the room and his teachers, but I think he's also a bit bored. There are six kids older than him in the room, but they are going to start letting him spend time each day with some older kids. I hope it will help him. :)
... gives the best hugs and kisses!
... has been on a better sleep schedule ... but he HATES his crib. He is so much like Jayla. Jayla was out of the crib by this age, but Jax is not ready for a bed yet. He's into everything. Putting Jax to bed has been rough lately, but once he falls asleep, he usually does well.
... sat still at daycare for 5 minutes reading books the other day and his teachers thought something was wrong. Ha! They couldn't believe he was able to sit still that long!
... sure helps us with our exercise! We never have a chance to sit with this little guy around! :)
We love you, Jaxon!
