Jaxon ~ 7 Months

Jaxon is 7 months old!

Jaxon ...

... weighs about 22 pounds. (95th percentile)

... wears mostly 9-month clothes but also some 12-month clothes. His 9-month onesies and pajamas are starting to get too small.

... wears size 3 diapers.

... has his two front bottom teeth.

... is moving ... everywhere! He is a great army crawler and will also do a "normal crawl" just a little bit.

... can easily go from a lying down position to a sitting position. He makes it look pretty easy!
... has made our life a little more chaotic now that he is moving everywhere. Ha! And we thought we were busy before! Today he discovered that he could leave the living room floor and get to the kitchen. He thought it was pretty funny!

... does not like it if he doesn't get what he wants! He can sure throw a fit. He especially gets mad when bathtime is over. He plays until the water is cold! He grabs ahold of his bathtub when we try to take him out.

... is a great eater. He drinks about 6 ounces in his bottle about every 3-4 hours. I am kind of surprised that he only drinks 6 ounces. He has been drinking that much for several months now. He does usually like a little extra before bedtime though. He also likes about any kind of food we give him. Since his reflux is still bad, I often mix rice cereal in with a lot of his food. That kind of helps it stick to his tummy a little better. This last week his reflux was great. He hardly spit up at all. I was thinking maybe he was growing out of it. Until today ... he spit up constantly. Bummer! He still takes prevacid, and I'm guessing he'll need it for a while yet. Both girls took it until they were about 10 months old.

... is starting to drink a little water from a sippy cup! He's still working on it, but even just after a few days, he is doing quite well! He also likes baby mum mums. I love that he can be a little independent with the sippy cup and feeding himself mum mums!

... continues to be a great sleeper! He sleeps from about 7:30/8:00 PM until about 6:00/7:00 AM.

... continues to love daycare. He gets so excited when I drop him off. They have been letting him go to the mobile infant room for a little while each day, and he LOVES it. He's quite a bit younger than the other babies in there, but he is constantly on the move! The workers said that he gets so angry when they take him back to the infant room.

Happy 7 Months, Jaxon!

Too Cute Not To Share!

Logan is out the NICU! :) Prayers were answered!

This picture is so sweet of Logan and Ryleigh! I just had to share it!

Welcome Ryleigh and Logan!

The twins have arrived! My brother and sister-in-law had their sweet babies yesterday! We are so excited! Our families will sure have lots of little kids - so fun to have so many cousins about the same age! My side currently has 5 - our three kids and the twins + one more coming in September. When Kandi and Eric's baby arrives in September, my parents will have 4 grandchildren under the age of one ... and altogether 6 grandchildren that are age 3 and under! Oh boy! Justin's family has 4 - all age 3 and under! The kids are going to have so much fun with cousins so close in age!

Ryleigh and Logan were both pretty good size babies!

Ryleigh Evelyn weighed 6 pounds 2 ounces and was 18 3/4 inches long!

Logan Robert weighed 5 pounds 15 ounces and was 18 3/4 inches long!

Logan was immediately taken to the NICU for breathing problems. He has a small leak in his lung, which will fix itself. By the time we saw him last night, they had taken his cpap off, and he was doing well! My brother took me up to the NICU to see him.

Both babies are just adorable!

BJ and Devin are doing well too. Of course it goes without saying that they were probably emotionally drained with having Logan taken away immediately and not given an update for several hours. They are such proud parents though! :)

My parents were there while we were - which didn't help keep my children calm! Grandpa Buzz and Uncle BJ can sure get them going!

Auntie Jess and silly Jayla with Ryleigh ...

Two thumbs up from Jordyn!

(By the way - I promise Jaxon was there, but he didn't really get into any pictures, except the above picture - he was hanging out in his carseat.)

Uncle Justin with Ryleigh ...

Baby Ryleigh and Baby Logan have some pretty excited cousins! The girls were so sweet! They just love her!

Jayla walked into the hospital room and her first words were "Hi Baby Miles!"  Jayla only knew Baby Miles as her cousin.

She was so sweet to Ryleigh!

Logan is so sweet!

He just loves his daddy already - he loves to squeeze his finger!

We can't wait to see the babies again - and get some snuggle time in with Logan too!

Tutus!

The girls got a wonderful surprise from one of our daycare workers on Friday. Miss Talor made the girls the cutest tutus! The girls have had so much fun dancing with them on! Miss Talor was one of Jordyn's favorite teachers when she was 2. Now Jayla has her, and she just loves her too! Thank you, Miss Talor, for loving our girls so much! (I have informed Talor that she must work at daycare until all of our kids start school - she has a good 5 years left there! Ha!)

Our little ballerinas ...

These two are so sweet when they dance together!

Check out Jaxon! He thought sitting in a box was the funniest thing!

He is so close to crawling! He is constantly on the move!

Today he actually went to the mobile infant room for a little while. He was the youngest in there by a long ways, but he doesn't stop moving! They said he loved it, and he was very unhappy when he had to go back to the infant room! I laughed when I heard that - his personality is showing through, he doesn't like it if he doesn't get his way!

Our girls love their little brother so much!

A few other random things ...

*Jayla and Jaxon are both over hand, foot, and mouth. Yay!

*We noticed on Saturday night that Jaxon had pink eye. We took him to the doctor on Sunday morning to get him drops. We took him back today since the eyes still didn't look great and because his ears are both infected again. Ugh. Poor boy. We know his tubes are working well, because the ears are draining. In 3 months, he has been ear infection-free for just a couple of weeks. However, he continues to be a happy baby!

*Jordyn's class is going on a field trip to Pizza Hut tomorrow, and she is so excited! They get to make their own pizzas! What she's even more excited about though is that the twins will be arriving tomorrow morning! We can't wait for BJ and Devin's little ones to arrive! :)

*The girls love band aids. I know, weird. But - they are Dora band aids, so they are cool. :) Jordyn told me today that when she's old like me, she'll use boring band aids too.

*Jayla's new thing is to run to myself or Justin if we have been gone or even just in another room and yell, "I missed you. I love you." So for all of the fits she throws, that makes up for it! :)

*We have some daycare changes coming up, and I am quite stressed about it. Our daycare is moving to a different location. I'm mainly just stressed that the location is further away, so that means leaving even earlier than we already do each morning. It's looking like we will be heading out the door at 6:30 each morning. Do you know how hard it is to get 3 kids that are 3 and under dressed, fed, and ready for school by 6:30?!

*We only have 14 days left of school. I cannot believe that! The kids will go to daycare twice a week during the summer. That is so helpful to me, and it keeps them in routine. They also love to see their friends!

*I can't wait to update with the arrival of our new niece and nephew tomorrow! Please pray for a safe delivery for Devin.

Splish Splash!

Jaxon loves to take a bath! :)

He loves to splash water all over me and the floor, and he does not like it when bath time is over!

Celebrating Jayla! (Part 2)

I am finally getting around to posting the last of Jayla's Birthday pictures! We took the kids to CEC's. Monday night was the night to go - it was not busy!

We gave Jayla new Birthday legos before we left. The girls love to build with legos, and this set lets them make cupcakes/cakes. They love it, and surprisingly, they have not fought over it. They play very well together! They love making Birthday cupcakes and singing Happy Birthday!

Jayla wasn't feeling 100% the night we went to CEC's, so she wasn't too interested in the games. She was more content sucking on her paci, holding her drink, and watching her sister play games.

The last time we went to CEC's (for Jayla's 1st Birthday), Jordyn was scared of Chuck E. This time she couldn't wait to see him!

This little guy slept almost the whole time we were there. Since it wasn't busy, I had Justin grab our stroller from the van to put him in. That made it easy to help the kids play games!

We had a fun time, and the girls were great listeners! Jordyn has decided that we will always go there for Jayla's Birthday ... nobody elses Birthday ... just Jayla's. I'm okay with that - eating that pizza once a year is more than enough for me!

Jayla knows that she is 2 years old now, but she has been telling everyone that she is 3. She loves to copy her big sister! :)
