She's been sporting her sunglasses - maybe in hopes that it will warm up soon?! :)
What is Jordyn up to?
... weighs about 30 pounds (still). She weighs herself every day and informs me that she is "tirty pounds."
... wears size 4 diapers, mostly 24-month and 2T clothing, and size 7 or 8 shoes.
... loved everything about Christmas ... the songs (her favorites to sing all by herself were Jingle Bells and We Wish You A Merry Christmas), looking at outdoor Christmas lights, looking at the Christmas tree, opening presents, watching Christmas movies (Frosty, Rudolph, and the Grinch were her favorites), listening to Christmas music in the car with Mom, and singing Happy Birthday to Jesus. As we were putting away the Christmas tree she looked at it and said, "Bye bye Christmas tree. I love you." She just is so sweet!
... says almost her whole bedtime prayer by herself at night. I just love to listen to her pray.
... still takes a 2.5-3.5 hour nap each day, as well as sleeps most nights from 7:45ish to 6ish during the week and 7ish on the weekends. She's a great sleeper - always has been!
... always makes sure we are okay. If we say something like "oh no" she is immediately asking "What happened?" or "Are you okay?"
... speaking of questions - she loves to ask them, and we are hearing a lot of the question "why?" ... to which we often reply "because." The other day I asked her a question and said "why" - she so nicely responded with "because."
... amazes us each day with her use of language/new words that she has picked up. One of my favorite things to do is spend some time laying with her at night and talking with her. We have had some very long conversations together! :)
... loves school! I think I mention this each month, but it is so wonderful to us as parents to know she is so excited about going. There are often mornings that she doesn't say good-bye or give me a hug because she's too busy playing or hugging all of her teachers. Of course I want her to hug me, but I would rather her be excited about school, instead of the dreaded crying each morning!
... continues to be an incredible big sister to Jayla. She has her moments when she doesn't want to play with Jayla or share a toy, but for the most part, she loves Jay Jay!
Time is going way too fast - we can't believe that Jordyn is over 2 years old already! We are so proud of everything she has learned to do!
