Jordyn - 19 Months

Jordyn is 19 months old! She is growing and learning so much each day!

She has recently started to smell her feet ... lovely, I know ...

What is Jordyn up to?
Jordyn ...

... weighs 25-26 pounds. She hasn't really gained any weight in the last couple of months, yet she is growing ... her weight must be shifting around.

... is wearing mostly 18-month clothes - a few 24-month clothes too.

... wears size 4 diapers.

... talks nonstop. Her vocabulary has grown so much over the last month. She tries to say about every word that we do (which was funny until I said a word that wasn't too kid-appropriate) - she's great at getting the syllables right even if she can't really say the word. Some of her new words include cool, more (before it was just the sign language - now she does the sign and says the word to let you know), ball, book, and milk.

... loves Jayla. Jordyn calls her "Jay-Jay" ... and she'll often point to her and say "My Jay-Jay" ... it's absolutely adorable! She loves to hold her, hold her hands, kiss her head, and be Mommy and Daddy's "special helper" with Jayla.

... can't wait to see Jayla when I get Jordyn from daycare. Instead of saying hi to me, she immediately runs for Jayla shouting "Hi Jay-Jay, Hi Jay-Jay." I love it!

... loves to say her family members names ... she often will repeat Dada, Mama, and Jay-Jay multiple times in a row.

... thinks it is funny to mimic actions or noises/words that other people do.

... went to the church nursery for the first time on Sunday. She threw a little fit at first, but they said she did pretty well. Yay!

... still LOVES to read. I can't tell you how many books we read each day. Jordyn has over a hundred books, and some days I feel like we read all hundred of them! She even wanted to read to Jayla a few days ago!

... has decided to try a few more foods, but she is still picky. We have recently gotten her to eat pineapple, cheese quesadillas, peanut butter and jelly sandwich (only once though - every other time she has spit it out), chips (definitely healthy), and apples. Still no veggies and very little meat.

... will begin going to daycare 3 days a week this summer, starting this week.

... loves to be outside, playing at the park, or playing in the pool.

... got to watch her daddy play softball for the first time this week. She loved it!

Jordyn - we can't believe how much you grow and learn each month. We can't wait to see what you learn to do this month! :) We Love You!
