Jordyn's 1st Birthday!

*This might win the "longest post with the most ever pictures" award. :)

Yesterday was Jordyn's 1st Birthday Party! We had so much fun - and so many family members were able to join us to celebrate. Jordyn is very loved! This is one of my very favorite pictures from the day! :)
Before I show the pictures from the party ... I have to share this one first ...
Jordyn is so loved (and maybe a little spoiled). She received so many wonderful gifts ... lots of clothes (underneath the gray coat is a HUGE pile of clothes), lots of toys, luggage, shoes, books, and a Brett Favre jersey.

Thanks to all of our family members who joined Jordyn today to celebrate ... Gpa and Gma VanBriesen, Gpa and Gma Overman, Great Gpa and Gma Kannegieter, Great Gpa and Gma Van Ginkel, Uncle BJ & Aunt Devin, Aunt Kayla, Aunt Kandi, Uncle Darin & Aunt Kathryn, Great Uncle Mike & Aunt Sharon, Mom's cousins Shelly, Bob, Kylea, Brenden, Great Uncle Roger & Aunt Sherri. We have family members who couldn't make it today as well - we missed you! :)

She is such a sweetheart!
We were a little nervous about how Jordyn would do with so many people in our house. It always takes her a few minutes to warm up to a small group of people, so we weren't sure how it would be with 25 extra people in our house. She really did well though! We were impressed. Of course she still needed a few minutes of snuggle time with her daddy though. :)
I found this cute monkey cupcake pattern online. I owe a huge thank you to my mom and sisters for making them for me. We always call Jordyn our little monkey, which made these just perfect for her party. Aren't they cute?!
They were so delicious!
Grandma Ronda and Jordyn ...
I had to have a picture of the food table, minus the cheesy potatoes and BBQ's. (Thanks to my mom for making the BBQ's too. I don't think I could have gotten everything done otherwise!)
All ready to eat!
After we ate and cleaned up, we had Jordyn open her gifts ... first Mom had to put her bow back on though.
Opening gifts ... Jordyn was quite interested and helped rip some wrapping paper and take tissue paper out of the bags.
Here's a new, noisy lawn mower from Uncle BJ & Aunt Devin and Aunt Kayla & Aunt Kandi ... BJ wanted to make sure that everything they got her made LOTS of noise to annoy us. :) Oh, and notice Jordyn holding a package of tights? She wouldn't let go of these for most of the time we opened gifts - she obviously knows something about fashion!
Daddy had to open this gift from Gpa and Gma VanBriesen ...
Look what she got ...
An authentic Brett Favre jersey. I'm sure it about killed my parents to buy a Vikings jersey, but Justin is a huge Vikings fan, and I have always been a Brett Favre fan - so it was perfect!

Jordyn got lots of clothes! Yay! We are getting close to needing some clothes in the next size - let me tell you, we won't be needing to do any shopping! Her closet and drawers are full!
She had so many gifts to open!
After gifts it was time for cupcakes and ice cream ... and also these adorable little chocolate mints that my mom!
Jordyn's cupcake - Mom had to hold her hands back since we lit the candle while we sang to her.
Trying to figure out why so many people are singing to her ...
Diving in!

She LOVED the chocolate frosting!
Yum!

Kisses from Mom and Dad ...
Our sweet birthday girl!
We had so much fun! Thanks again to all of our family members that were able to join us. Jordyn is so loved!

After the party, we took Jordyn trick-or-treating ... post and pictures to come soon! :)
